Forum membership
1. This is an open online forum for discussion in relation to the Reinstated Hawaiian Government.
2. Membership of the forum is not a right; it is granted on the condition of acceptance and observance of the rules.
3. If the rules are not acceptable, please do not use the forum. Any use of this forum conveys agreement with this condition.
Forum etiquette
1. Treat people courteously at all times
2. Address issues rather than attacking people
3. Do no post pornography, promotion of illegal activities, or disclosure of someone else's personal information
4. Do not send messages intended only for an individual to the whole forum; use personal messages (PMs) for that
5. Try to deal with conflict with another member privately, only bringing the issue to the attention of a moderator if a resolution cannot be reached
6. Do not post other people's e-mails without permission from the writer
7. When replying to a post further back in the discussion, use the quote button to include the previous post - but trim the quoted material to a minimum necessary to understand the context.
8. When changing the topic of discussion start a new topic
9. Do not repost entire articles from elsewhere but link to them instead
10. Before posting a topic perform a search to avoid duplication
11. Commercial advertising is prohibited
Moderation
Due to open membership this forum is moderated.
1. Please remember that members do not have the absolute right of free speech
2. Members may be warned or banned for failing to observe any rule
3. Warnings are issued when a member must alter their involvement in the forum in order to retain their membership; by either ceasing to post or by actively improving their conduct
4. Any post in contravention of the rules may be deleted or altered without notice
5. Querying or challenging decisions is allowed but any verbal abuse of a Moderator or Administrator will result in being banned
Language
1. This is a bilingual forum. Both English and ‘Ōlelo Hawai‘i are supported. As such we accept no excuse for a member’s difficulty understanding the rules or in complying promptly with the directions of a Moderator or an Administrator.
2. Posts must be in English or ‘Ōlelo Hawai‘i. A post may contain another language only when a translation is necessary for technical clarity.
